About Us

The Circuit Riders include Ven Andersen (drums), Rob Brown (guitar/keyboard), Ray Jansen (lead vocal), Steve Laing (guitar/vocal), and Doug Richardson (bass), who formed the band in 1973 while attending Northview Heights Secondary School in North York (now Toronto). The Circuit Riders played actively at night clubs, school dances and college pub nights for several years after their formation. The band played infrequently from 1976 to 1996, due to the absence of several members.

In 1997 the Circuit Riders "reactivated" with all the original members, adding Al Turnbull on guitar and vocals. Maintaining much of their original repertoire, the band has added a number of new R & B songs for "Our Blues Brothers" set.

The Blues Brothers Revisited

The band currently entertains at a variety of social functions, from fund raising events and carnivals to corporate parties and night clubs.
